The Eleven Locks

Departure and Site

Here we have designed a little walk along the eleven locks of the Canal in Hédé.

Near the parking area (at 48°18.350N 001°47.124W) is the Maison du Canal, which will be our point of departure.

The Cache

Go to  48°18.335N 001°47.610W

Here, find the year in which the bicentennial of the Canal d'Ille et Rance was celebrated.

The four digits of this year will form the code ABCD.

Continue along the Canal, pass the house with the blue shutters and cross the first bridge. Be careful: crossing the canal by the locks is forbidden! To cross, you have to get to the first bridge.

Go to 48°18.180N 001°47.214W

Count the number of locks between the Maison du Canal and the first bridge.

The number of locks corresponds to the letter E in the coordinates of the final cache.
