The Site
One of Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier's great moments in the history was the battle that unfolded here in 1488. The "Mad War" is the name later given to this war waged between the King of France's men and those of the Duke of Brittany and his allies.
In the Saint Aubin Forest lies the "Roche Piquée" (the "Pointed Rock"). Legend says that beneath the rock lies a magnificent treasure guarded by giant toads. Perhaps you will discover it around the bend...
